Tmax dual battery wiring diagram. Connect the end of red main 2 to the appropriate stud on the t max solenoid. Then connect the other end of the short jumper cable yellow in my wiring diagram to the appropriate stud of the solenoid. The relay is the solinoid the cylindrical silver one points 87 30 are the big posts on the relay and 85 86 are the small upper ones. Beside the battery in between the battery and the guard is a fuse box. The idea of a t max dual battery system is to have all or most of your accessories connected to the second battery usually a deep cycle. The four wires yellow red blue green are from the dual battery displaycontroller.
On vehicle with a smart alternator a ignition feed will tell the dc charger to keep running even if the vehicle is in low voltage mode. On here you will find a main power source and the ignition source. As your accessories use power from the second battery the isolator prevents power from draining from your main starting battery leaving it ready for you to start your vehicle when needed. While youre at it connect the thin red cable from the t max wiring harness and the short jumper cable to the same stud.
