This gto ls1 alternator is a 3 wire just like my 76. Then on the back of the alternator is where the power wire is run from staright to the battery. My alternator only has 2 wires coming from it. The pin outs for the later models are included on pages 8182 but each computer and engine has different requirements to make it operational. One wire goes to the bat lug on the starter also.
